Streamlining admissions to regent universities.
The admissions process to the three regent universities has been streamlined through:
- Creating a common application portal for students who wish to apply to multiple regent institutions so students don’t need to enter information multiple times (completed July 2015).
- Standardizing the manual calculation of the Regent Admission Index across the three regent universities (completed February 2015).

TIER leaders from the University of Iowa and the Iowa Board of Regents will visit with their Big Ten colleagues this week to lead a discussion about best practices in operational efficiency. The Efficiency Conference, organized through the Committee on Institutional Cooperation (CIC), will share innovative approaches, identify best practices to streamline processes, and identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency and drive cost savings.Student Services News

Regents hear Pappas Consulting Group and Ad Astra recommendations

As the University of Iowa moves forward with the Board of Regents’ TIER (Transparent Inclusive Efficiency Review) project, the UI TIER leadership team is committed to keeping the campus informed. During this week’s Board of Regents meeting on the University of Iowa campus, recommendations from the Pappas Consulting Group on e-learning and enrollment management and from Ad Astra on space utilization and course scheduling were presented to the board.
